As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. TrailHaven is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.co.uk.

What this means in practice

• When you click a “View on Amazon UK” button and go on to buy something, we may receive a small percentage of the sale.
• The price you pay is exactly the same. The commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not out of your pocket.
• We never see your payment details, your address or what you ultimately bought as an individual. Amazon reports sales to us in aggregate.

What it does not mean

Commission rates vary between product categories, which creates an obvious temptation to push whichever category pays best. We do not do that, and the way the site is built makes it difficult to do by accident:

• Product ordering is determined by verified customer rating and review volume. Commission rate is not an input anywhere in the ranking.
• We do not accept payment from brands for placement, inclusion or a better position, and we do not run sponsored posts dressed up as recommendations.
• We have no financial relationship with any manufacturer whose products appear here.

Where you will see this notice

The disclosure appears in the footer of every page and next to each group of Amazon buttons, so you never have to go looking for it to know how a link is monetised.
